MailerLite Pricing (2026): Free, Comfort & Power Explained

Compare MailerLite plans, subscriber tiers, email limits and annual billing. See what changed from Growing Business and Advanced before choosing a plan.

MailerLite

Bottom line (verified October 1, 2026): MailerLite bills on active subscribers across four public tiers—Free, Comfort, Power, and Enterprise. Paid plans are priced in subscriber buckets (500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, and higher). Comfort caps monthly sends at 10× the ceiling of your subscriber tier; Power includes unlimited monthly emails under MailerLite’s fair use policy. If you still search for Growing Business or Advanced, those names map to Comfort and Power—existing paid accounts migrate at renewal, not all on one date.

This guide models real USD costs at common list sizes, explains send limits (including automations), and links to our creator-focused MailerLite review, Free plan limits, 14-day premium trial, and discount options.

Example prices at 500, 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 subscribers

Figures below are USD from MailerLite’s public pricing calculator on October 1, 2026. Monthly billing shows the price charged each month; annual billing shows MailerLite’s effective monthly rate when you pay yearly (about 10% off versus monthly on the page we reviewed). Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year—multiply the effective monthly rate by 12 for total cash outlay. EUR checkout uses different numbers; confirm in your account currency before budgeting.

Do not extrapolate between tiers—when your active subscriber count crosses a bucket, both price and Comfort send cap step together. Re-quote on the live calculator before checkout.

How MailerLite counts subscribers and emails

Billing unit: MailerLite prices on active subscribers in your account (pricing FAQ). Unsubscribed and bounced contacts are generally excluded from the active count, but MailerLite also describes monthly resets tied to your billing date and cumulative counting rules during a billing period—do not assume deleting contacts instantly lowers your bill mid-cycle without checking your account.

What counts as a send: One email to one subscriber equals one send. A broadcast to 500 people uses 500 sends; each step in a welcome automation counts too.

Comfort send math: The 10× multiplier uses the top of your subscriber tier, not your exact list size. On the up-to-1,000 tier you receive 10,000 sends whether you have 200 or 900 subscribers (pricing FAQ).

When you hit the Comfort cap: Official copy says you can upgrade to Power for unlimited sending or wait until the next billing cycle when the allowance refreshes. MailerLite also documents automatic tier upgrades when subscriber counts exceed limits—treat auto-upgrade behavior as account-specific and confirm in billing help rather than assuming a single outcome.

Reader scenarios: which plan fits?

Weekly newsletter (~4 campaigns/month) on a 2,000-subscriber list

  • Likely tier: up to 2,500 subscribers → Comfort $33/mo (or $29.70/mo effective on annual).
  • Send budget: tier ceiling 2,500 → 25,000 emails/month. Four broadcasts to 2,000 people ≈ 8,000 sends, plus welcome automation headroom—usually within Comfort if automations stay modest.

Frequent promotional sends + multiple automations

  • If campaigns plus automation steps routinely approach the Comfort cap, Power at the same subscriber bucket removes send math (e.g. $69/mo monthly at 5,000 subscribers versus $49/mo Comfort—October 1, 2026 USD).
  • Power also unlocks unlimited automations, multiple automation triggers, and unlimited seats—features gated or capped on Comfort.

Team with forms, sites, and digital products

  • Comfort allows 10 combined websites/landing pages, 10 forms, and 5 digital products (migration FAQ).
  • Power removes those feature-use caps—relevant when you run several lead magnets or product checkout pages in parallel.

Free plan, trial, and paid upgrades

Free (250 subscribers, 2,500 emails/month) is ongoing—not a time-limited trial. Details: MailerLite Free plan limits.

14-day premium trial starts on registration without a payment method. Trial accounts share Free-style caps (250 subscribers, 2,500 emails) while unlocking many paid features to test. Unlimited sending, unlimited users, and some branding controls are not included during trial. Full breakdown: what to test during the trial.

Annual billing and discounts

MailerLite advertises ~10% savings when you choose annual billing on the pricing page (October 1, 2026). Nonprofit organizations can apply for a 30% discount on paid plans with documentation (nonprofit program). Only one discount applies at a time per MailerLite’s FAQ—we summarize terms and stacking rules in MailerLite discounts.

Growing Business and Advanced: what changed?

If your research tab still says Growing Business or Advanced, map them to Comfort and Power. MailerLite’s paid plans update FAQ states:

  • Growing Business → Comfort (more features unlocked, but Comfort now has send and feature-use limits).
  • Advanced → Power (unlimited sends and unlimited feature use remain the top-tier positioning).
  • Migration timing: paid accounts move at next renewal or when you manually change plans—not on a single global switch date.

Searching mailerlite advanced plan usually means you want Power pricing and unlimited-send positioning—start with the Power column in the tables above, then confirm migration timing in your billing settings if you are already a customer.

FAQ

Does MailerLite charge for unsubscribed contacts?

MailerLite bills on active subscribers, not every address ever imported. Cleaning inactive contacts still matters—subscriber tier upgrades trigger when active counts cross limits, and billing-period rules may still count addresses that were active earlier in the cycle. Confirm in your account before pruning lists solely to reduce bills.

Is MailerLite unlimited sends on paid plans?

Only on Power (fair use). Comfort includes a monthly send cap of 10× your tier ceiling. Free includes 2,500 sends/month regardless of list size below 250 subscribers.

Can I downgrade or switch between Comfort and Power?

MailerLite supports plan changes in account settings; proration and feature loss (for example automations with multiple triggers after trial) depend on your current usage. Review billing help before downgrading mid-campaign.

How does MailerLite compare to Brevo on price?

Brevo prices primarily on emails sent with unlimited contacts on paid tiers; MailerLite prices on subscribers stored with send caps on Free/Comfort. Model both using the same list size and monthly send total—see MailerLite vs Brevo.

MailerLite pricing rewards clarity on two numbers: active subscribers (which bucket you pay for) and emails sent per month (whether Comfort’s 10× cap fits or Power is worth it).
